Toni Hackney
Toni graduated in 2019 with a Bachelor of Laws from James Cook University, where she was awarded the North Queensland Law Association Townsville Prize and McKays Solicitor Prize.
She commenced her legal career working as an Associate to a District Court Judge at the State Administrative Tribunal and District Court of Western Australia during which she was exposed to advocacy in a broad range of areas including administrative, civil, and criminal law which ultimately cemented her desire to pursue a career in criminal law.
She was admitted as a barrister and solicitor to the Supreme Court in February 2022 and from here began practising exclusively in criminal and traffic law, where she gained extensive experience appearing in the District, Magistrates and Children’s Courts.
Toni is committed to establishing positive working relationships with clients to ensure she achieves the best possible outcomes.
